How long to acclimate hardwood in the GTA

Acclimation is not a waiting room
Boards sitting in a sealed carton in a garage in February are not acclimating. They are cold. Material has to live in the finished HVAC condition of the room it will occupy, out of the box or with the box ends open, off the slab, until moisture content matches the site.
Ontario seasons
A July install in a house with no dehumidifier is a different job from a January install in a house at 22 percent indoor RH. We measure both the wood and the room. The calendar is a starting guess, not the spec.
